Vonni, Fleef mascot for Fanciful Realities
The Fleef are an original, handcrafted, poseable plush fantasy creature!
The very first Fleef was created in April of 2023. Now, over a hundred Fleef have found homes all over the United States, and some have even traveled overseas!
The Fleef are based on the concept of inspiration and the various, sometimes unexpected, places in which it can be found. From something as simple as a favorite color to something as complex as a firefly, the Fleef can find inspiration in anything.
In this way, the Fleef remind us to appreciate the small miracles of everyday life, and show us a world in which even the most ordinary things can be a little bit magical.
Every individual Fleef is handcrafted with love and quality materials.
Fleef are completely hand-sewn, so no two Fleef are ever exactly alike, even if they share the same inspiration or design.
All Fleef (except Piffles) are accompanied by an official "birth certificate" that is signed and sealed by their creator. This document describes the Fleef's unique characteristics and the date, time, and location of their completion.
Once adopted, Fleef are packaged with great care and shipped with tracking and signature confirmation to ensure safe delivery to their new home.
Fleef come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Most Fleef varieties are poseable, meaning that their ears, legs, tails, and other appendages are able to be moved and manipulated into poses. Others are just squishy and cuddly.
There are currently five known variations of Fleef:
Classic Fleef, MiniFleef, MochiFleef, CuddleFleef, and Piffles.
These variations are described in more detail below.
Also, some Fleef display more unique traits and characteristics than their fellows.
There are currently four known tiers of Fleef designs, depending on what traits they display:
Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Special.
These trait tiers are also described in more detail below.
Classic Fleef are by far the most prevalent variety of Fleef. They are typically 8-11 inches in length (including tail) and can fit comfortably in one hand. Most Classic Fleef weigh about 1.5 ounces, while some of the heavier ones may weigh up to 3 ounces.
Classic Fleef are poseable, and can be found in all four trait tier designs:
Common Tier
Common Fleef come in a wide variety of colors. They may present some variation in weight or eye size, but otherwise are all generally the same shape. Common Fleef generally present only one or two colors. Their face and limbs will be all the same color, and the body fluff will match the tail tuft.
( Did you know? You can request colors for future Common Fleef! )
If a Fleef presents any deviation from this, they are considered Uncommon.
Uncommon Tier
Uncommon Fleef are otherwise Common Fleef that have one or two Uncommon traits or characteristics that set them apart in some way from their fellows. Uncommon traits may include an oddly-shaped face, distinctive tail, pointy or floppy ears, colored eyes, hairlessness or extra short fluff, or presenting split colors in face and limbs or fluff.
If a Fleef presents more than one Uncommon trait, they are considered a "high-end" Uncommon. If they present three or more Uncommon traits, they may considered Rare.
Rare Tier
Rare Fleef can present any number of Uncommon characteristics, as well as Rare traits. Rare traits may include more unique fluff types such as dense "bunny" fluff, multicolored coats or more diverse colors, including patterns such as stripes or spots, heterochromia (different colored eyes) or additional eyes, or certain extra appendages such as horns, antennae, simple mushrooms, or additional legs.
If a Fleef presents multiple Rare traits, they are considered Special.
Special Tier
Special Fleef may present any combination of Uncommon or Rare characteristics, as well as Special traits. Special traits may include wings (bat/dragon, bird, insect/fairy, moth/butterfly), floral appendages, specific varieties of fungi, complex color patterns, more intricate designs, or special effects such as a light-up tail or glow-in-the-dark embroidery.
Special Fleef are highly valued and distinctive due to their uniqueness and high level of detail and complexity.
MiniFleef are smaller than their Classic cousins, averaging only about 5 inches in length (including tail) and typically weighing no more than half an ounce. These tiny Fleef are poseable, but cannot be weighted due to their small size.
Most MiniFleef only have Common characteristics, though some Uncommon and even Rare traits have been observed.
MochiFleef are a large, extra-soft Fleef variant. Roughly 16 inches in length (including tail), MochiFleef are larger than their Classic cousins, but smaller than CuddleFleef. They are lighter than most CuddleFleef, weighing only about 15 ounces. MochiFleef have rounded features and dense "bunny" fluff. They are not poseable or weighted, but extremely squishy and luxuriously soft.
MochiFleef are very rare; only one has been discovered so far. This Fleef variety is not yet available for adoption.
If you would like to see more MochiFleef in the future, please let us know!
CuddleFleef are the largest variety of Fleef, much larger than their Classic Fleef cousins. These Fleef average 24 inches in length (including tail) and can weigh as much as 3 pounds! CuddleFleef are not poseable, but instead are flopsy, soft, and comfortable to hold.
CuddleFleef may have unique characteristics and traits tiers, but the tiers may differ somewhat from those of their Classic Fleef cousins. For example, traits that would be considered Rare on a Classic Fleef may only be Uncommon on a CuddleFleef. Because the CuddleFleef are much larger than the Classic Fleef, certain levels of complexity are easier to incorperate into their designs.
Piffles are the most recently discovered Fleef variety. They are the larval stage of Fleef! These fuzzy little guys come in a variety of colors, but are otherwise consistent in their appearance. Piffles are perfectly palm-sized, sturdily build, and weighted with glass beads to give them a sense of presence when held. Piffles are about 2.5 inches long and heavy for their size, weighing roughly 0.8 oz. The glass beads inside make satisfying soft crunchy noises when the Piffle is handled.
Piffles are typically discovered in small groups, and often with colorations correlated with the season or time of year.
